Havilah Builders

Havilah Builders was the upshot of two visionaries V.C. George fondly known as Appachan and George Mammen who have proved their excellence in their respective fields.

Appachan brings with him the strong backing of 30 years of glorious accomplishments in the film industry. Jegan Pictures and New Saga Films founded by Appachan have given Malayalam cinema unforgettable movies that enthralled audiences for decades and many of them were all time hits of the industry. Havilah Builders is his diversification of business interests into property development.

WELCOME TO JEGANS GROUP

JEGANS GROUP is one among the highly reputed establishment in the Film Industry of Kerala, with the experience of 30 years, founded by Mr. Appachan (V.C. George) in 1977. The group plays an integral role in the development of Kerala Film Industry today, in addition to its past 30 years glorious presence. It is Mr. Appachan’s enthusiasm in the show business that led to the development from the hotel business to film exports. The successful business experience of the company encouraged to spread its roots and explore the different zones of the industry by starting film production under the banner of JAGAN PICTURES in 1979.

Later in 1991, the group began film distribution under the banner NEW SAGA FILMS. All the good efforts behind the successful growth of SAGA Films were from Mr. Appachan with his two partners Mr Sreenivasa Shenoy of Shenoys Group of Theatres and Mr A P Antony of AKP Metals and Alloys.

Mr.George V. Aju, son of Mr.Appachan, joined the Group, and diversified Jegan Enterprise in 1998 to trading of iron and steel, under the name Jegans Trading Co. The wide experience in the show business inspired the company to enter the field of Television Media in 2001, under the banner, Jegans TV World with the creation of the serial ‘Dhanyam’ for Asianet. The Groups enthusiasm and concern for the film industry is evident to the visitors who go through the novel concept of the group to provide consultancy, technical and infrastructural support for successful film making.

Mr. Appachan was elected president of Film Producers Association in 2001-2003, considering his experience and enthusiasm in this field.

PICTURES

Jagan Pictures is a significant endeavor among the many successful enterprises by Jegans Group. It was initiated by Mr Appachan (V C George) in 1977. In 1979 Jagan pictures was formed, and later in 1991 it developed into New Saga Films, a joint venture with Mr Sreenivasa Shenoy of Shenoys Group of Theatres and Mr A.P. Antony of A K P Metals & Alloys. While, Jagan Pictures pioneered in film production, New Saga Films bears the reputation for film production and distribution.
