JEGANS GROUP is one among the highly reputed establishment in the Film Industry of Kerala, with the experience of 25 years, founded by Mr. Appachan (V.C. George) in 1977. The group plays an integral role in the development of Kerala Film Industry today, in addition to its past 25 years glorious presence. It is Mr. Appachan’s enthusiasm in the show business that led to the development from the hotel business to film exports. The successful business experience of the company encouraged to spread its roots and explore the different zones of the industry by starting film production under the banner of JAGAN PICTURES in 1979.

Later in 1991, the group began film distribution under the banner NEW SAGA FILMS. All the good efforts behind the successful growth of SAGA Films were from Mr. Appachan with his two partners Mr Sreenivasa Shenoy of Shenoys Group of Theatres and Mr A P Antony of AKP Metals and Alloys.

Mr.George V. Aju, son of Mr.Appachan, joined the Group, and diversified Jegan Enterprise in 1998 to trading of iron and steel, under the name Jegans Trading Co. The wide experience in the show business inspired the company to enter the field of Television Media in 2001, under the banner, Jegans TV World with the creation of the serial ‘Dhanyam’ for Asianet. The Groups enthusiasm and concern for the film industry is evident to the visitors who go through the novel concept of the group to provide consultancy, technical and infrastructural support for successful film making.

Mr. Appachan was elected president of Film Producers Association in 2001-2003, considering his experience and enthusiasm in this field.
